Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4.
  • Basic reading, writing and numeracy skills.
  • Physical fitness to carry malaria spray equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to work with chemicals.

Key Duties

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Mixing insecticides.
  • Loading and unloading equipment and supplies.
  • Assisting residents by moving and covering furniture before spraying.
  • Conducting indoor residual spraying.
  • Cleaning malaria stations, vehicles, spray cans, buildings and surrounding areas.
  • Completing spray cards (SP1) and other required records.
  • Capturing operational data.
  • Conducting environmental and community surveillance.
  • Performing other general duties as instructed.

Application Requirements

  • A fully completed and signed new Z83 Application Form.
  • A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).

The Z83 form can be obtained from any government department or the DPSA website.

  • Proof of professional registration (where applicable).

Selection Process

  • Attend an interview.
  • Complete a practical assessment.

  • Undergo Personnel Suitability Checks before appointment.
